It saves time when you have an appointment and you already know what things you need to bring or prepare. In the same way, this guide for the list of things or requirements to bring when one will file for an application for the Civil Service Examination.



These are the things to bring when filing for Civil Service Examination application:

1. Valid ID
2. Photocopy of the valid ID
3. Application fee of P500.
4. 4 copies of pictures with the following specifications. Choose those photocenter who already knows photo requirements of Civil Service and they a package for that.

How To File Civil Service Exam Application

Holding a government position in the Philippines requires one to have the eligibility for such positions under the jurisdiction of the Civil Service Commission.

A Filipino who has been an honor graduate (e.g. Cum Laude) or a passer of his profession's licensure examination (e.g. Registered Engineer, Licensed Teacher) are automatically granted the eligibility for government positions. But aside from that, one can also be eligible by passing the Career Service Examination of the Civil Service Commission which is done twice a year.

These are the steps in Exam application:

1. Fill-out the exam application form and glue 2 pictures in the picture boxes provided.
2. Present valid ID and its photocopy, 2 additional pictures and duly filled-up form to ESD action officer.
3. After initial evaluation, proceed to Cashier for payment of exam application fee.
4. Go back to ESD action officer and present the Official Receipt (OR) together with the application form.
5. Receive exam application receipt and OR from the ESD action officer.

You have filed your Civil Service Exam application successfully.
Take note of the Date, Time and Venue of the examination.

Rain Or Shine In The PBA Finals

The Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters sets first Finals schedule in the current PLDT myDSL PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum through eliminating Petron in a 97-88 friday night victory in the game 5 of their best-of-seven semifinal series. They won the series with four games againts a lone win from Petron Blaze Boosters.



Assistant Coach Caloy Garcia took over the drivers seat for the Painters as ROS' Headcoach Yeng Guiao was serving his one game suspension. Garcia said that them making into the finals in a game without coach Yeng is special and that the players really wanted to win the game.

Beau Belga and Jeff Chan lead the Painters with their almost double-double performance with 18 and 17 points respectively and 9 rebounds apiece. Chan lead the way for the Painters in the third quarter comeback by pumping in 7 of his 17 in that quarter and ROS erased a 12 point Petron lead and even leading going into the last period at 72-69.

Paul Lee pumped in 16 points off the bench and Ryan Arana added 10 points

On the other hand, Arwind Santos leads Petron scorers with his double-double performance of 20 points and 13 rebounds. Marcio Lassiter had 18 while June Mar Fajardo had an equal 16 points and 16 rebounds but their efforts weren't enough to extend the series.

Rain or Shine is in their second consecutive Finals appearance in the Philippine Cup after their Finals series with TalknText last season. The Painters are now waiting for the winners of San Mig Super Coffee Mixers against Bgry. Ginebra Gin Kings in the other semifinal matchup which is currently having 2 wins apiece.

Comedian Tado Among Killed in Bontoc Bus Accident

Arvin Jimenez, known as comedian "Tado", is among those 14 who were killed when a passenger bus fell off a ravine friday morning, February 7, in Bontoc, Mountain Province.

According to Police Provincial Director Oliver Enmodias, the Florida bus with plate no. TXT 872 fell off the 500 meter deep ravine in Sitio Pagpag, Barangay Tabulin in Bontoc around 7:20 am friday morning. Arvin Jimenez, among the 45 passengers of the bus, was among those who died.

On February 6, Tado shared a photo in instagram of a bus headed to Bontoc, captioned: "Long trip, as in trip trip."


The reason why Tado is going to Bontoc was for a project "40 Mountains Project" as seen in his photo posted in instagram below. The title seems to be an irony of this tragic accident.


Fans of the comedian showed their grief with this heartbreaking and sudden death of an idol and an inspiration, a source of joy and laughter for many of the Filipinos.
